Greetings, We are Natalie Kaplan and Lee Goldstein, graduate teaching assistants at The George Washington University. Over the course of the past year, we have been working with a Human Services class project, The BRIDGE (Bridging Resources in D.C. to Guide and Educate) Project, to create a comprehensive social services resource guidebook for the District of Columbia. The BRIDGE guidebooks contain over 500 social service sites and resources throughout the D.C. Metropolitan Area., from food pantries and meal programs, to shelters, job training, health services, and much more. The guidebooks are pocket-size and include pertinent contact information about all the sites. We have published 2000 copies of the BRIDGE guidebooks and are in the process of distributing the booklets to both organizations and members of the community.
