About me: I am a student at the University of Maryland, studying Library Science. For the past few years, I have been cooking once or twice a month for the men at St. Paul's shelter in Northwest DC. My interest in poverty and homelessness comes from hearing accounts of my mom's experience growing up poor; attending a church in the 1970's where liberation theology was stressed; and an innate sense of justice.
