About me: Im a native to the Washington Metro area. I live in Paris and am trained as an architect and urban planner.
Being trained as a person who builds buildings and designs cities, I got fed up with how elite education funnels you into being an ivory-tower theorist, building luxury high rises, gentrifying areas, malls, and other things which drive up rents and produce inequality in spatial and experiential terms.
Alot of people who are fortunate enough to have homes and a supportive family and friend network do care. They are just not educated about the problem and the people who they see as different.
