STREATS continues its advocacy and education primarily through media this web portal and local media outlets. STREATS is now firmly entrenched in delivering services. Our homeless and formerly homeless participants have graduated from being served to being the server and are deployed as case managers, group facilitators, counselors, literacy tudors, drivers, and general helpers. In order to meet a greater need of service, STREATS has enlisted a pool of polished and potent professionals in the fields of human, social, educational, financial, and employment services. Please take a look at our programs to get a better idea of how STREATS is designed to move homeless from street/shelter to self sufficiency.
STREATS can be found in most any homeless shelter in the DC Metro Area, but the place where we call home as it relates to our service delivery continues to be the streets. STREATS approach to serving continues to be: Meet them where they are - when they are there - Mentally or Physically.
